About me
I’ve had fifteen years of landscape architectural practice in an office setting, providing management, design, sustainability, and horticultural knowledge.
I believe design is all around us through chaos, order, repetition, void, contrast, or movement. Growing up, my parents said, “don't waste film solely on landscapes, money doesn't grow on trees,” and “if you don't get a good education, you'll dig ditches your whole life.” Like most good advice, it is supposed to build resolve and push you to achieve your dreams. After graduating with my degree in Landscape Architecture from Oklahoma State and working for the past 15 years on commercial and residential projects, I have learned how to incorporate the human element into scenery, understand how lucrative trees can be, and still enjoy getting my hands or feet dirty when the occasion calls. Regardless the principle elements, I know creating something aesthetic and functional is what I was designed to do.
Ever since becoming a mom, I switched out the downtown Dallas firm lifestyle for a remote stay-at-home one. I enjoy chasing around my truck-toting toddler and renovating our 70’s ranch style home inside and out.
